Find a partner with the same subject area interest as you [math, science, literacy L-6. secondary ELA, Social Studies, Second languages]
Take an envelope with your subject area of choice
Sort the contents under the appropriate curricular headings
Highlight the "Example Technologies" in terms of:
RED- never heard of it
YELLOW - heard of it, never used it
GREEN - used it
Check your answers
PART II: Applying Activity Types to Lesson Planning
Keeping your subject area in mind, take a lesson plan in that subject area
**Use the sheet provided in your agenda package
Highlight the verbs in the outcomes
Look at the pedagogy within the lesson
Look at the Activity Types sheet provided - What type of technology is suggested for a lesson like this?
Adjust the lesson to incorporate technology
PART III: Critical Friends' Reflection - Return to Board Room and Critical Friends' Table (10:15ish)
Questions:
1. What is needed to integrate technology effectively into our teaching beside the technology? (Set IT concerns aside)
2. What implications does this have for your AISI project currently and for future direction? Process for Reflection:
a. Choose a leader who will open the following link: www.typewith.me
b. The leader will invite each member of the critical friends' group
c. The leader will type in the two questions
d. Each person types in their own responses - you will see each other typing
e. Import/export your final answers to each question into Microsoft Word - Save as 2 files (each question),
f. Paste each question individually into a Wordle ~ www.wordle.net
g. Debrief - each table shares their 2 "largest" ideas
